Today, our little boy is Full Term and mom is ready! This means that if our baby arrives now, his lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though my due date is still three weeks away. Here are a few facts...Our baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel. Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised our baby has no hair or even dark colored hair. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz (like Zachary).
We have our weekly doctor's appt today and I am hoping to talk about moving forward with this delivery. Like next Thursday or Friday. David is already off from work next Friday-Tuesday and if we delivery during that time his two week leave will not start until Wednesday. That means he would be home helping us for almost three weeks!! I think Zachary and I will need his help!
