Lake Jocassee!

Since the temp was 104 degrees today, we decided to spend the day on Lake Jocassee.   It is crystal clear mountain water...which also makes it very cold.  But today was the perfect day for good cold lake water.   Most of the surrounding land is untouched by man and absolutely beautiful.  

 Zachary enjoyed fishing...although he was unable to catch any.  

The boys also enjoyed hiking around the rocky mountains with dad...

 William is gonna be our little fish...he loves to swim!  He learned today how much fun it is to jump off the tube into the water...

 And with a little push from Mom...

  After hours of swimming and playing on a white beach, the boys decided to tube...

Of course, they always wanna go faster because neither of them have any fear...

 The mountain views were great...

 The boys had so much fun and have decided that Lake Jocassee is their new FAVORITE LAKE!

July 4th Party & Picnic at Trinity

The boys are going to Trinity Baptist Church's Summer Program three days a week and love it!  Each year, Trinity has a July 4th Bike Parade and Picnic!  The boys decorated their bikes and rode in a parade around the church...then rode bikes for over an hour!  Afterwards, we all enjoyed a picnic lunch with hotdogs, chips, watermelon and cupcakes!  We love all the things Trinity does for the kids and families!

Greenville Pickens Speedway

Saturday we enjoyed our first race at Greenville Pickens Speedway.  The boys have been begging to go and called it the NASCAR race of Greenville.  We took the boys and bought them their own earmuffs and off we went...

At the beginning of each race, we each picked a car to win.  Zachary picked his car based on looks,  William picked his car based on a number he could recognize, David picked his car based on drivers and I picked my car based on numbers in my world (22 for my birthday)!

And most of the time, Zachary picked the winning car!

The boys rarely took their eyes off the track...

I love this one...must have been a wreck...

I actually had a great time - probably mostly because my boys loved it.  They are already asking when the next race is so that we can all go!

Today, we spent all day on Lake Keowee...swimming, tubing, skiing (or for me, trying to ski) and just having fun together.

 I thought this was cute...Will still sucks that thumb when he gets really tired...

 My view for most of the day...

 What the boys enjoy the most...beaching (as they call it).  We find a nice secluded sandy beach and stop for hours to play.  The boys take their favorite sand toys, monster trucks, nets and goggles and spend hours just playing!  And then we enjoy a big picnic lunch!

SPIDERMAN

I live with Spidermans two biggest fans...

 And today, Spiderman is making a special appearance in Seneca.  The boys have been so excited.  Both of them wore their Spiderman costumes to bed so they could be ready!

Fishin' on Keowee

Zachary has had his fishing pole ready for weeks...so today he got his chance.  

The fish were not going for his worms so he used some bread from his sandwich.  

And that is exactly what this little fishy was looking for...
