Sneaky, sneaky...

So, we have had Zachary's birthday present under the house for a few weeks...a new dirt bike that David has been working on. Well, today...

Zachary says, "Mom you know there is a dirt bike under the house."
Mom.."What?"
Zachary..."Yeah, I saw it. It is under the house. And it is orange."

Yikes, he found it already. So we have told him it is for his birthday. Until then, he can help dad work and built on it! He is so excited! He is a little big for it but will probably be ready come April. We are planning on going to Durhamtown the week of his birthday!

Will's Appt With Dr Cooter

Today, Will had an appt with ENT Dr Cooter. We discussed the past three months as well as William qualifying for Speech Therapy due to a delay in speech articulation. The exam revealed fluid in both of his ears but no infection - every time we go to the pediatrician they say there is fluid present regardless of infection. Fluid is not supposed to be present and can be a matter of time before another infection develops. His tonsil were enlarged but not red or infected. And your adenoids can not be seen.
Dr Cooter definitely recommended tubes and removal of adenoids. Removal of adenoids can help with speech development and infections. Tubes with help the stationary fluid drain properly. Only one episode of tonsillitis itself is not enough reason to remove the tonsils; however, we might as well do all three at the same time. It would be horrible to only remove adenoids now and Will continue to have tonsillitis and need them removed in a few months. So we are set for tubes and removal on tonsil & adenoids on Mon Feb 6! Hopefully, we will remain healthy until then!!

Kicking off The New Year...

This is how we spent the New Year's Eve weekend...

With severe tonsillitis and a temp >102 for 4 days! They say how you spend New Year's Eve is a reflection of the following year. Boy, I hope not! In three months, Will has had three ear infections, severe tonsillitis and an inconclusive hearing test. We have gone through an entire bottle of children's Tylenol with the number of fevers he has had! We are looking forward to a much needed referral to Dr Cooter (Zachary's ENT in Greenville)! It is so pitiful and heart breaking to watch you child sick!
