Doctor's Visit
Today was Zachary's 15-month visit with the pediatrician. He weighs 25 lbs 11 oz and is 31.75 in. Both values are in the 70% for his age group so he is perfectly proportional (but we all already know that he is perfect). He received two vaccines in his thigh and did great with both of them. He also picked out a blue dinosaur from the toy box. After our appointment, we went to Babies R Us to pick out the "perfect potty chair". Potty training is usually started between 18-36 months but Zach is so smart that I think he may understand more than we think. I put the chair in the bathroom when we got home today. Later on, I went to use the bathroom and, of course, he followed me closely. I was surprised to see that he came in the bathroom and sat on his potty chair. I am not brave enough to let him take off his diaper yet but I just thought that having it around may get him use to the idea and make potty training a little easier. (Don't worry grandparents - we will not be bringing our potty chair on our weekend visits!)

Independence Day

Zachary and I relaxed at home most of the day today while David worked in the hot sun. Around supper time, we met Mom and Mark on their boat on Lake Hartwell. Mark's daughter, Lacey, also came with her husband Jerrad and two children McKenzie and Mason. Zachary had a few temper-tantrums but we all had a good time cruising around on the lake. Enjoy the pictures!
