Night Out At Greenville Drive Game

Friday night, Zachary and Mason spent the night with Mimi & Popi after enjoying a Greenville Drive Game! They had a blast together!! Then Sat morning, they had fun on the lake and riding around the parking lot in Mimi's convertible!! Friday, David and I had some good one on one time with William by enjoying dinner at Ruby Tuesday and IceCream at 2 Scoops!

Meet The Teacher Night

William had his Meet the Teacher Night last night. His teachers will be Mrs. Sissy and Mrs. Julie - both which he is very familiar with as he moved up to their class in the middle of the school year last year!

This morning we worked on his first homework assignment...

Meet The Teacher!

Tonight was Zachary's official Meet the Teacher Night...Ms. Wright and Mrs. Gibson! Zachary was very excited but very shy and ready for kindergarten to begin! Thursday will be his FIRT DAY! Hard to believe the boys are growing up so fast...

Last Day at the Lake

Today, we spent the morning cruising the lake and watching the boats! We even stopped to watch a WaterCross Competition! We ate lunch at Wendys, revisited Yogurt Mountain and headed home. Of course, these boys were not tired but mom & dad are exhausted!

Thanks again Mimi & Popi for the use of the condo and boat! We had a wonderful time and can not wait to do it again! Looks like next time, we might have our own boat!! YEAH!!

Lake Hartwell Day 4

Once again the boys were up before the birds! Bright eyed and bushy tailed! So off we went to IHop for breakfast before Popi came to work on the boat (lots of rewiring to replace the stolen equipment).

Turned out to be a lot of work for David and Popi to replace stuff on the boat. So, the boys and I spent the morning exploring. The boys even found a huge fish that had wash up on shore.

After they finished up, we spent about an hour on the lake before the afternoon storms hit. We anchored down again and the boys jumped, jumped and jumped off the boat. This time they jumped off the front and swam around to the back like fish...

Tonight we ordered in Papa Johns and played games at the condo!

Lake Hartwell Day 3

Today was our busiest day yet...on lake at 9am and home at 5pm! I think the boys were on the tube for a solid 4 hours! And no matter how many times we re-applied sunscreen...we all got burnt!

David and I got tired of all the tubing so we decided to try the boys together...and they loved it. Both of them begged for more...

Each day we have packed lunch and had a picnic. Today, we stopped at an island to eat and play. It was really a sandbar but it was nice because we could see the whole place from the boat!

Then we anchored the boat and swam in the open water. The boys jumped hundreds of times off the boat and had so much fun!

Tonights dinner was Zachary's choice...Spaghetti! And Zachary wanted to cook. He is a perfect little chef! Hopefully, in a few years, I will never have to cook!

After dinner, we went to rent a movie and get ice cream. I have heard alot about Yogurt Mountain so we decided to give it a try! It was great! Soft serve yogurt with all the toppings you can imagine in a self serve area! The boys could have filled their cups! They ate every drop!

Lake Hartwell Day 2

Day 2...and the boys were ready at 6am to head back to the water. First priority of the day, tubing! So we headed down to the dock bright and early at 8am...only to find that my parents boat had been broken into...everything valuable...GONE! So, we did not get out to the lake until lunchtime as we had to wait for Anderson County to file a report. Did not hold us back...the boys were right back on the tube...

The boys also enjoyed filling up with gas as there were always hungry ducks waiting to be fed...

Another busy day concluded with Fudruckers burgers for dinner and a visit to PetSmart to check out the birds, rats, bunnies, hamsters and fish!

Lake Hartwell Trip Day 1

Instead of going to the beach this summer because the weather has been HOT, we took a week at Lake Hartwell...and boy did the boys have fun. We spent every possible hour on Lake Hartwell using Mimi & Popi's boat.

As soon as we arrived on Wednesday, we were off to the water...the boys could not wait!

The boys immediately wanted to go tubing. Zachary was hesitant but William was ready. Will and mom has a lot of fun! Will is fearless and kept wanting to go faster and faster! I have never heard him laugh so much! You can see Zachary contemplating in this picture...

One thing about Zachary is that is you tell him how to do something once, he does not forget! He watched David drive and immediately wanted to try. He does drive better than me!

We stayed out on the lake for hours...then David and I enjoyed take out from Wild Wings after the boys crashed in bed!

Ms. Whitney Wright

Today, we received a letter from Blue Ridge Elementary...Zachary's Kindergarten Teacher will be Ms Whitney Wright! We are excited to meet her on Tuesday at Meet the Teacher Night!

Pettit & McIlwain Family Reunion

What a wonderful afternoon we had today in Simpsonville. Mom & Mark planned a wonderful reunion at their house and we had about 25 family members (and 5 kiddos)! We had food, fun and lots of good laughs. The kids had crafts and the adults had game time. Thanks for a great day!
