Successful First Days!

Zachary and Will both had great first days of school...

Zachary is in the 2nd grade at Ravenel Elementary. He has the teacher he was hoping for...Mrs Walden. She has a pet rabbit in the which the kids can take home for the weekend if their behavior is good! Zach is so excited to care for the pet rabbit! Maybe it will help him have good school behavior. His motto at school is "Respectful, Responsible and Ready to Learn." Lets have a great school year at Ravenel!

William is in K4 at Northside Elementary. He was screened and accepted to the K4 program but we were not able to do school choice. So for one year, the boys will be at different schools. William had a great first day. He came home singing songs and loved going to the cafeteria!

Monster Jam at the Charlotte Motor Speedway

Zachary, Will and I went with the Cub Scouts to the Monster Jam at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Scouts were allowed to camp on the infield of the speedway. We had a lot of fun!

The boys and I rode together on a real MONSTER TRUCK! Boy was it fun...
We were also invited to spend the night on the speedway. We set up our tents and had a huge scout party...
The boys got to meet some of the drivers...
The Monster Trucks were so big too!
The morning after camping as everyone was leaving, we were able to DRIVE on the speedway in mom's KIA! What a blast! We were only going 60mph but it felt like 100mph! I think I had more fun than the boys!

Scouts at the Greenville Drive!

Tonight was SCOUT NIGHT at the Greenville Drive. The Scouts had a wonderful time at the Greenville Drive Game. They entered in a scout parade, completed four survival activities (First Aid, Knots, Fast Pitch and Baseball Bingo) and ran the bases after the game! Can't wait until August 6, 2014 when Scouts are invited to campout after the game on the field
