Discovery Island Waterpark

Today, Zachary & I met some friends Jolene & Ray and their kids at the waterpark in Simpsonville. I was a little skeptical since Zachary can not swim but we had a wonderful time... he did not even wear his swimmies! Zachary was just tall enough to go down one of the waterslides with me. We rode together on a float and the waterslide went really fast...much to my surprise, he loved it!! We rode down the lazy river (after a few trips, he rode on his own float). We swam in the water and he learned to go under with his eyes closed. He did so well at swimming. I can not wait to go again and wish it were closer. If you have not been, you should go -- there are things for everyone to do!

FYI - My camera battery was dead so I have absolutely no pictures!!

Happy Birthday America!

Zachary does not have school next week due to Fourth of July so today is there Fourth of July Celebration. They are having a Happy Birthday America Parade and party. Zachary made his own star shirt and we decorated his four wheeler for the big event. He was so excited to go to school today to Celebrate America's Birthday!

Happy Anniversary Mom & Mark!

Just wanted to wish my mom and step-dad Mark a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! My mom was very blessed to find such a wonderful man with a great family to spend the rest of her life with, since my father died at an early age. Thank you both for all you do for us!

Blackberries!

Zachary loves going to our neighbors house to look for Blackberries. He loves eating the fresh blackberries from the bushes but does not like the ones from the store. William loves going on walks but is always very interested when we are eating something. So today, we gave him his own blackberry...and he loved it!

Loving Life...

I can not believe Will is already 7 months old. He is just a doll to be around. He is eating solid foods twice a day and drinking water from a sippy cup. He loves being outside and around his big brother!

Congrats Jamie & Heather!

Congrats to our friends Jamie & Heather on the arrival of their little boy James "Dylan" this morning at St Francis Women's Hospital. The healthy little boy weighed 7lbs 4ozs. Jamie & Heather, welcome to a whole new world. . . Parenthood! Congrats!!

Swimming Fun

We enjoyed a day in the sun today at Jolene's house with her kids and all the neighborhood kiddos. Zachary was very hesitant at first but soon learn to jump in on is own (with swimmies, of course!).

Riverbanks Zoo!

Today, Zachary and I traveled to Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia (we get in FREE with our Greenville Zoo Membership) with our friends Jolene & Ray and their children. We had a lot of fun but it was very hot...I do not think the children noticed the heat!

Ear Infections AGAIN!

Last night, Zachary was up all night crying complaining of his ear hurting. It was so sad. He would wander into our bedroom and lie beside the bed just crying. He took Tylenol around the clock with little relief. After two hours at the doctors office, he had double ear infections...NO SURPRISE! If one child is not sick, the other child is sick! That goodness, he is on antibiotics and on the way to recovery!!

Chuck E Cheese

Thursday has been our "Zoo Day" with Jolene but today it was raining so we headed to Chuck e cheese. Zachary had only been there once about a year ago so he was not to sure what to expect. We played games and ate pizza. It was a lot of fun.



Check out Zachary's hair - he looks like a shaggy dog and he just had a haircut a week ago! After our outing, I took him back to the barber to another haircut... It is pretty much a buzz cut. He has such bad "cow licks" and baby fine hair that it looks horrible a week later! Hopefully, it will look better short!

And those sunglasses. He had to wear them inside for about ten minutes!!

William's Check-up

Today, was William's 6 month checkup. Everything looks great. He has met all his developmental milestones and his ears have healed properly. Here are his stats:

Weight: 14lbs 14ozs (10% on growth charts)

Head: 42.5cm (15%)

Height: 26cm (25%)

The doctor said his is growing properly and pretty much proportional. William received three shots today and has done well so far. One thing the doctor did say is that we can give him more finger foods (beyond the Cheerios he has been eating). So when we got home, I gave him two vanilla wafers and within minutes they were gone. It was so funny to watch him "gum" them!




We are very blessed to have such healthy, wonderful boys!
