New Giraffe Costume

Zachary and I went to a kids consignment sale with Aunt Christine. Zachary got 5 new pairs of pants, a Clemson jacket, a toy and a costume for $20. For those who have kids and have never shopped consignment sales, you ought to try it. Alot of the clothes look brand new! Well, the costume is a giraffe and Zachary has the best time dressing up in it. He runs around a growls loud! He even took his nap today with it on! I will have to look for more costumes in the future so he can play dress up (no girlee stuff).

Best Friends

Zachary is absolutely in love with "Elmo" and all his friends. My mother-in-law and I were at Babies R Us and Zachary had to ride in this car with Bert (I think?). Can you believe how fast he is growing up!

Bump, Bump...Crash, Crash!

On our way home from Charleston, a full size Dodge Ram hit us from behind on I-26 which threw us into another car in front of us. We are all okay but there is a lot of damage to our Trailblazer. The accident itself was the biggest mess on the interstate. Zachary was in his carseat for almost two hours and we would not let him get out due to all the traffic and stuff. Once the car was towed, we all rode in the ambulance to the "junk yard" were they were towing our car. Zachary's best moment was riding in the ambulance and unfortunately, I have no pictures. Anyway, we are all fine and safe at home!

5th Wedding Anniversary

David and I had a great 5th Anniversary in Charleston (here are a few pictures from five years ago). We spent Monday and Tuesday alone and Zachary came down Wednesday with David's parents and Aunt Christine & Uncle Michael.

Citadel Visit

While in Charleston, we went to visit the Citadel where Uncle Michael graduated from college. Zachary and "granddad" spent time looking at all the planes and helicopters. Zachary had lots of fun.

Free Chicken at Chick-fil-a

For Halloween last year, Zachary was a cow. He still keeps the costume in his closet and always asks to wear it. Well, today was the day mom said "yes!" Today at Chick-fil-a, anyone dressed as a Cow received a free meal. So I took Zachary for his free dinner. He was the best dressed cow! Now, we are home and he will not take off the costume...I am afraid he might be wearing it to bed tonight!

IT'S A BOY!

Today, we all went to see the OB to determine the gender of child #2. Guess what - It's a healthy baby boy! The ultrasound tech did a 30 min ultrasound and checked all the organs and everything. She even took some 3D / 4D shots - they are not great because this is usually not done until at least 26 weeks. Anyway, he looks perfect. In one shot you can even see his little hand! If you are able to read ultrasounds, enjoy the slide show!

Does Anyone See A Turtle?

I do not know about you, but I can not read ultrasounds and had trouble seeing all the organs and such. The nice ultrasound tech gave us a quick lesson in determining the gender....for a boy, you basically see a turtle. Does anyone else see a turtle? I think he is all boy!

SCARY THUNDERSTORM

Today, I put Zachary down for a nap a little early. After a few hours, I kept standing outside his door listening for him playing. We were having an afternoon storm so I assumed it woke him up. Each time, it was silent! Finally, I opened the door. He was not in the bed, he was not behind the door and he was not seen anywhere on his floor. I was confused for a minute. Then I heard, "Mom, storm." He was wedged into a small ball between his dresser and a floor lamp holding on to his new trains. I could not help but laugh and take his picture! We do not get many storms so I guess it scared him a little bit!

New Love - Thomas the Train

Zachary's new love is Trains - especially Thomas the Tank Engine. He got a train set for Christmas and shows some interest in it. This past week, Mimi & Popi bought a train set for their house. They found battery operated Thomas Trains as well as neat train track additions. I told Zachary on Monday (after working all night) that if we had a good day, I would take him to the Toy Store to buy a battery operated train. I was shocked - he completely understood! He played in his room and took a nap from 9:30am - 2pm (Don't worry - he had juice and a snack!). He picked out two new trains - a battery operated Thomas and a Musical Caboose. He plays for hours with them and had to sleep with them last night!

Day at Mimi & Popi's Lake Condo

David, Zachary and I went to Mimi & Popi's Lake House on Lake Hartwell. We spent a few hours on the lake visiting with Lacey, Jarrod, McKenzie, Mason, Jennifer and Eric. Zach tried tubing with Mimi & Jennifer but screamed from mom the entire time. Then, we went back to the condo for some good cooking! We all had a lot of fun!

July 4th Fireworks

David & I took Zachary back to the Seneca Festival from 9pm-11:30pm to listen to the live back and watch fireworks. Zachary loved watching all the people and the fireworks. He was not scared of the loud noises or the flashing lights! Hope everyone had a great Fourth of July!

July 4th Water Fun

This afternoon, David and I took Zachary to the Seneca July 4th activities. Zachary loved playing in the water provided by the Seneca Fire Trucks!

Fun in the Sun & Watermelon Party

Today, Zachary had a friend Haley over to play. It was so hot outside they decided to go swimming and have a Watermelon Party!
