New Year's Eve 2010

We had a very busy day today....this morning, we had a New Year's Eve playdate with our friend Haley and Hunter. We made mini pizzas and blew noise makers to celebrate New Year's Eve. The kiddos all had a great time!

In the afternoon, we had a playdate with our friends Tres and Drew. The boys rode their new dirt bikes for hours - with only a few accidents. We enjoyed a pizza dinner and played with all the new toys from Santa! Unfortunately, David busted his knee messing around with Zachary's dirt bike and is too stubborn to go see a doctor! What a New Year's Eve!

We got home at 7pm within minutes...
It was a very busy day...without a nap, Will was exhausted! Zachary spent the evening with our neighbors shooting fireworks outside! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Snow Rafting...

We you do not have a sled, use a raft...

Snow Adventure...

Today, we went up to a local school that has a lot of open land for Zachary to ride his dirt bike in the snow...
William rode the four-wheeler but easily got trapped in the snow...
Zachary had no problems zipping over the snow covered fields and making lots of tracks...
The smile on his face after he rides is absolutely priceless...he is so happy and it has really given him something to focus and concentrate on!
Now he built obstacles out of snow to plow over...
William played on the snow covered playground and threw snowballs at mom...

White Christmas!

This evening, it started snowing! Yes, snowing on Christmas Day! It is the first White Christmas here in about 45 years!! It was too warm to accumulate on the ground before the boys went to bed we went outside to enjoy watching the pretty white flakes fall from the sky. Zachary's asked "what is that falling" and then he described the snow flakes like puzzle pieces coming together!

Before bed, the boys watched the snowfall out the back door...and yes, Zachary is dressed as Woody from Toy Story again! I love that he has such a vivid imagination! And I can not wait to play in the snow with the boys tomorrow!

Christmas with the Pettits!

Today, we celebrated Christmas with my family. Mimi & Popi and my brother Michael came over to see what Santa delivered. Mimi brought chili and we enjoyed playing with the boys new Wii games. David and I rocked at Donkey Kong! Mimi, Michael and Zachary rocked with Dora on Nickelodeon Wii Fit! We had a great afternoon.
Thanks Mimi & Popi for all the gifts!
We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful blended family!

Christmas with the Philpotts

We spent afternoon in the mountains at Grandmother Orr's house. This gave Zachary the opportunity to practice on this dirt bike on wide open land and on trails in the woods. He is like a miniature professional...

Like father...like son...
What a handsome little dirt biker...
While Zachary rode his dirt bike, William enjoyed riding the four-wheeler with mom...

Madeline, the boys cousin, was not so impressed with the dirt bikes and four wheelers...

Christmas Morning 2010

Christmas morning, both boys were wide awake at 5:15am ready to head downstairs to see if Santa visited. They waited patiently on the stairs and were told..."keep your eyes closed."
Zachary's reaction...
Unwrapping presents from Mom & Dad and each other...
Zachary's dirt bike boots from Mom & Dad...
And Zachary's biggest, most wanted gift from Santa...a dirt bike! Zachary got lots of new equipment to ride his new toy!
The family got lots of Wii stuff including a new Wii for the playroom, a balance board, two remotes, two numchucks, two wheels, Wii charger, sports equipment and a ton of games (some from Santa some from family). Even David and I stayed up trying to beat Donkey Kong!
Zachary has such an imagination. He loves dressing up as Spiderman & Batman so Santa brought several more pretend costumes...
Between Santa and family gifts...the boys also got several board games, a DVD player, several movies, books, soccer balls, dinosaurs, a firetruck, bicycle horns, monster truck, hot wheels ramps, legos, clothes, a play tent, two remote control cars, Leap Frog books, new winter jackets, college money and so much more! We are so thankful for everything!

After a long several days, both boys were exhausted. Zachary fell asleep in the new tent....
What a wonderful Christmas, once again!

Christmas Eve 2010...

It is the night before Christmas (Santa came a few days early) and the boys are so excited. Zachary prepared a letter to leave out for Santa...
They made a plate of homemade cookies & milk for Santa and celery & carrots for his reindeer...
While trying to take pictures, William decided the cookies were for him and laughed about it...
They made Secret Reindeer food that they sprinkled on the lawn so that the reindeer would see our house...
And they said goodbye to "Twinkle" (the special Elf Santa sent to our house from the North Pole) until next year...

I think I am just as excited as the boys!
