Today was Ravenel Elementary's Fall Festival...Afterwards, our Pack volunteers to clean up the entire school. Giving back to our community is a large part of cub scouting! And, it was not a little mess either after hundreds of kids in and out of all the classrooms. But the scouts put their gloves on and got to work!
Tonight was Rocket Derby with the Cub Scouts. The boys made rockets with paper and tape at the last Pack meeting...and tonight it was time to shoot them to the moon. The boys each shot their rockets and this distance was measured...this is a serious rocket blasting machine...the rockets went 200-300 feet!
Each scout received a ribbon!
Luckily, our family promotes family involvement...so little brother is always right there too!
David and I spent Friday night at Camp Old Indian with our new Cub Scouts and hundreds of others! The new Tiger Cubs had a great time - we did too except the bugs at night at the cold temperature!
Campfire and marshmellows...
Learning to tie knots...
Shooting BB guns...
Archery...
They also had so much more that I was not able to capture in pictures! I think Zachary and I might be going to a week long summer camp for Boy Scouts this summer!!
