Today was National Hunting and Fishing Day at the World Of Energy! Although it was raining, we packed up and went anyway. Glad we did as most people waited and the lines were not busy for us!
Zachary's favorite part was Kayaking on his own! He did great!
The boys also participated in some Camo Games with other kids. Each person dressed in camo and hid in a roped off area. William found a great spot where no one could find him...
Can you find him...
Zachary did a great job too. Not only did he wear camo but he cover himself in real leaves too!
There were exhibits on boating safety and fire safety. The boys got to use a water hose to spray out a fire!
Then, Zachary took his turn at shooting a BB gun. Now, Zachary has never shot a gun but he learned very quickly. Although only 2 hit his target, he had a lot of fun!
On to Archery...
I did not think Will could do it so I had told him no. Then, someone said, we have a little bow for him to try. And guess what...he shot a Bullseye!
When he shot the Bullseye, he turned around to us and said "You did not know I could do that!" He may be little but that does not stop him from keeping up with the big kids!
They had a lot more exhibits for the kids including petting goats, rabbits & a snake, touching different furs of animals, butterfly garden, fly fishing, lake fishing, camping tents, hunting trails and so much more. And we all enjoyed a hotdog lunch.
