Today is off to a rough start. Will is refusing pain medication but he cries in pain. I have tried mixing the medicine with juice & gatorade but he does not like that anymore. I have tried forcing but he screams and flails with just causes more pain. Finally, he took Tylenol but it does not seem to be helping much! He so much wants to eat & drink but it hurts to swallow and he says nothing tastes good. Today is gonna be a struggle to get Will to take the minimum amount of fluids!
Well after some good sleep this morning, Will woke up more willing to take his pain medicine (with lots of encouragement and bribing). So the rest of the afternoon was spent outside on the porch watching everyone play outside. If only he understood that pain medicine is good (guess it is asking too much to have it flavored)!
