Day 2 -
What personal items to take with you to the clinic?
Hand Sanitizer - lack of places to wash hands
Water Bottle - only bottle water is safe to drink
Toliet Paper - poor facilities with no toilet paper
We spent the morning at the New Missions clinic sorting through our supplies in preparation for our afternoon clinic in Playa Laguna!
We held our clinic in Playa Laguna at a lady's house. We had about 100 people waiting to be seen. Unfortunately, we were only able to see about 30 so the others were referred to our clinic in the morning!
Some of our team members, Pastor Felix and the mother/children whose house we were using for the clinic!
This lady lived down the street from the home where we hosted the clinic; however, she recently had back surgery and could not get to the clinic. Jamie, Katherine (translator) and myself went to her home to assess her. She basically had a common cold. We gave her some medicine and cough drops! She was so appreciative and sweet!
After clinic, we returned to our resort to eat dinner before church!
After dinner, we went to a church service in Bombita. The service was in Spanish and end up being over 2 hours. I sat beside several children and we played games (quietly) on my ipad. The kids were great! And the service was full of energy and excitement!
