Our Christmas Traditions

I love Christmas time with the boys and over the past few years we have developed a few traditions...

"Twinkle" is our Elf sent from Santa to monitor the boys behavior. At night, she flies home to report to Santa. Each morning, she returns but in a different spot. The boys have a blast trying to find her! But don't touch her or she will lose her magical powers...

Making Gingerbread Houses - During the month of December, we make several Gingerbread houses...using pre-made cardboard houses and traditional graham cracker houses. Both boys love covering the house with Christmas candies. This is one of Zachary's favorite things to do...

Making Magic Reindeer Food & Sprinkling it on the yard on Christmas Eve - The boys love making Reindeer food and if you spread it all over your yard on Christmas Eve, the reindeers will be able to see your house! It is easy and fun to make...it is just dry oatmeal and red/green glitter.

Make a wish and close your eyes tight
Then sprinkle on your lawn tonight.
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam,
This food will guide them to your home!
